WHY BLOGS ?

Every journey has a beginning. This is ours.

I didn't start THESHAGA because I considered myself a writer.

In fact, quite the opposite.

I could barely type without making mistakes. I wasn't someone who had a perfectly planned writing career or a carefully designed content strategy.

I simply had something I wanted to say.

And sometimes, that's enough to begin.

It Started With Netflix

Yes. Seriously.

The idea of starting a blog began, unexpectedly, with a Netflix show called The Bold Type.

I loved the show—not simply because of the story, but because of the world it portrayed. Three young women navigating life and work in New York, surrounded by a magazine, ideas, conversations, ambitions and all the uncertainty that comes with figuring life out.

Something about that stayed with me.

And there was one character in particular who made me think:

Jane Sloan.

Watching her write, think, question things and put her experiences into words made me want to do something I'd been wanting to do for a while.

Write.

Not perfectly.

Just honestly.

And that's how this little idea began.

So, Why a Blog?

The answer is actually quite simple.

Life gives us a lot to think about.

Every day, we deal with work, relationships, expectations, uncertainty, failures, ambitions, decisions and those strange moments when we don't really know what we're doing but somehow keep moving forward anyway.

Everyone experiences these things differently.

Sometimes we figure them out.

Sometimes we don't.

Sometimes we simply need someone to tell us:

"You're not the only one going through this."

That's one of the reasons I wanted to create THESHAGA.

I wanted a place where we could talk about the everyday hustle, the problems we face, the decisions we make and the ideas that help us keep going.

And sometimes, perhaps, we don't need another solution.

Maybe we just need a place to stop for a moment.

To think.

To question.

To breathe.

To write.

What Can You Expect From THESHAGA?

I don't want this blog to be about just one thing.

Because life isn't about one thing either.

You'll find stories and thoughts about everyday life, personal struggles, choices, ambitions and the different ways people deal with the situations life throws at them.

There will also be informational content, ideas, perspectives and current affairs from time to time.

Some posts may make you think.

Some may make you question yourself.

Some may simply make you smile.

And hopefully, a few might stay with you long after you've closed the page.

We Don't All See the World the Same Way

This is another thing that fascinates me.

We live in a world filled with different cultures, languages, personalities, experiences, beliefs, habits and ways of thinking.

Two people can experience exactly the same situation and walk away with completely different conclusions.

Why?

What makes people behave differently?

Why do some people make decisions that seem irrational to us?

What are they going through that we don't see?

What experiences shaped the way they think?

I don't think we can ever completely understand another person.

But maybe we can try.

And perhaps understanding people a little better can also help us understand ourselves a little better.

Because before judging someone for the way they behave, sometimes it is worth asking:

"What might I be missing?"

And Yes, I'll Talk About the Difficult Stuff Too

There have been plenty of moments in my own life that I haven't known how to talk about.

I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

Most of us have things we carry quietly.

Things we don't share.

Things we don't know how to explain.

Things we think nobody else would understand.

But what if someone else is going through exactly the same thing?

What if sharing an experience could make another person feel a little less alone?

That's where writing becomes powerful.

For me, writing isn't just about expressing myself.

It's also about sharing what I've learned along the way.

Maybe an idea.

Maybe an experience.

Maybe a mistake.

Maybe something I've figured out after getting it completely wrong first.

If even one person reads something here and thinks,

"I've felt that too."

then perhaps the writing has served a purpose.

Some of the Things We'll Talk About

When I started this blog, I already had a few questions running around in my head.

Questions like:

These aren't questions with simple answers.

And that's exactly why they're interesting.

THESHAGA isn't here to pretend that every problem has a five-step solution.

Sometimes the journey is more interesting than the answer.

This Isn't a Perfect Blog

And I don't want it to be.

There will probably be mistakes.

There will be posts that make me think differently later.

There will be ideas I change my mind about.

There will be serious posts, random thoughts, useful information and probably a few things that make absolutely no sense at first.

But I want one thing to remain constant:

Honesty.

I want THESHAGA to feel like a conversation rather than a lecture.

You read.

You think.

You disagree.

You share your perspective.

And we keep the conversation going.

From One Idea to Something More

What started as a simple desire to write has become something I want to build over time.

Not just a collection of blog posts.

A place for ideas.

A place for perspectives.

A place for conversations.

A place where we can talk about the things that make us human—our ambitions, our mistakes, our confusion, our successes, our failures and everything in between.

Maybe someday someone will discover an old THESHAGA article and wonder how all of this started.

Well...

This is how.

It started with a Netflix show.

A character named Jane Sloan.

A person who wasn't particularly good at typing.

And a simple thought:

"I just want to write."

So here I am.

Writing.

And hopefully, you're here too.

So, Welcome to THESHAGA

Stay for the stories.

Stay for the ideas.

Stay for the questions.

Stay for the conversations.

And if something you read here makes you stop and think—even for a moment—then I'd say we're doing something right.

Hold on. We're just getting started.

Come back. We have a lot to talk about.

We rock and roll. 🤘

Before You Start Investing: How Much Emergency Fund Do You Need?

Your finally decide to start investing You open a mutual fund account, choose an investment, start a SIP and feel like you have finally taken the first step towards building wealth. But before you start investing, there is one important question you should ask: Do you have an emergency fund before investing? What happens if you suddenly need the money? Imagine starting a ₹10,000 monthly SIP. You invest for six months. Then suddenly, you lose your job. Or there is a medical expense. Or your car needs a major repair. Or you have to deal with an unexpected family expense. At that moment, if you don't have enough cash available, you may be forced to sell your investments. And if the market happens to be down at that time, you could end up selling your investments at exactly the wrong moment. This is why I believe investing should not always be the first step towards financial freedom. Sometimes, the first investment you need to make is in your own financial safety. That star...

why staying in one path is hard, Especially for twenties?

hey welcome back guys !  If you missed my first blog, check out how THESHAGA started and why I decided to begin blogging. Why staying in one path is hard? especially for twenties. We may say that we think it is hard to stay in one path so it is actually becoming harder to be so, i totally agree with the fact, yet still we are going to discuss some probable answers for the question "why"  Point no1: It is mainly because we lack passion in it We may have noticed our brain jumping here and there because nowadays we no more like being same, Cuz we all so excited but not consistent. If we don't have a consistent enthusiasm in a thing we are doing, then eventually we quit or our behavior towards it will urges us to quit. How many of you agree with the fact that almost 80-90% of people hate their jobs, most of us right? .If we are a beginner to a job, everyone get to feel the excitement of a new job, as the salary and new environment feels good, but eventually trust me guys, al...

Before You Start Investing, Protect Yourself First: Health Insurance, Term Insurance & Emergency Fund

Have you ever wondered whether you should start investing immediately after you start earning? Maybe you've just received your first salary. You download an investment app. You start looking at mutual funds. You hear about SIPs. Someone tells you about stocks. Another person tells you that you should start investing as early as possible because of the power of compounding. And everyone seems to be talking about how to grow your money . But there is one question I think we often forget to ask: What happens if something goes wrong before our investments have had time to grow? What if you have a major medical expense? What if you suddenly lose your income? What if someone who depends on your income needs financial support after you're gone? That's when I think personal finance needs to be looked at differently. Before we focus on making our money grow , we should first make sure that one unexpected event doesn't destroy everything we've built. And that is why I believe...
